Our Sanctuary.

Located in the beautiful front range foothills of Colorado, we are home to approximately 100 rescued animals at any given time. Current residents include chickens, ducks, geese, goats, sheep, llamas and rabbits as well as several cats and dogs.

While providing lifelong sanctuary for those in our care, we also advocate for all animals with outreach, education and the offer of support to those that wish to learn more about why and how to become vegan.

We began in 1994 on 5 acres outside of Frederick, Maryland with the adoption of 2 sheep and 3 goats from another farmed animal rescue organization. They were soon followed by a spirited rooster named Alexander and later a small flock of hens. The rest, as they say, was history.

We moved back to Colorado in 1998 where we joined forces with the folks that were to later found Peaceful Prairie Sanctuary in Deer Trail. Together, but in opposite directions and equal distances from metro Denver, we share a mission to provide a safe haven for some while advocating for all.
